A little bit about me.

Finalist: 2008 Photographer of the Year - International Competition

I love my job! What more can I say? I love the feeling of capturing that perfect split second moment of emotion. I love the feeling of creating an image from a vision in my head, and nailing it! I love seeing the reaction of the couples as they see the images for the first time. Its amazing. I am truly blessed to have the privilege of being a photographer.

I actually fell into this profession very much by accident. I was the owner of a music promotion and management company when I was 18 and studying at Penn State. I started to photograph the bands so they would have images for their press kits. I was hooked. I soon was shooting everything that I could get my hands on. Soon after I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to photograph my first wedding. It was the wedding of a high school classmate of mine and a childhood friend. I owe everything to Josh and Jen for giving me the opportunity to photograph their wedding.

The very next year we sold out for the season! Since then the business has grown into something I could have never imagined. It has allowed me to shoot in locations all across the country and soon the world! I have had the privilege to shoot along side of and learn from some of the best photographers in the world. These photographers include: Australian photographers Jerry Ghionis and Yervant, Joe Buissink, David Beckstead, John Michael Cooper (Altf), the Bebbs, and more.

I also have recently been invited to be an instructor at several of the PhotogShootOut workshops in front of over 70 professional photographers, as well as invited to become a member of the Circle of 8.

My work is always expanding. At every wedding or portrait session I try to do things that I have never done before.

When I am not photographing something, I love anything to do with movies and music. As a former performer I am very passionate about music. I love a lot of bands that people probably have never heard of. Movies to me are one of the most magical things on earth. I love seeing just about any movie that I can put my hands on. Some of you have seen my movie theater in my house with the 120" screen. It is definitely my favorite room in the house!

My next passion I will be exploring soon is traveling and seeing the world. I can't wait to get started.

Above all I love to have a great time every time I go out shooting. My fun and friendly style is something that my couples love, mixing photojournalism with fashion.

Thanks again for checking out the website!

Dina & Michael - Skytop Lodge Wedding, Skytop PA

What a great couple. Dina and Michael were first photographed for their engagement session back in the fall just outside of Wyoming Valley Golf Course. Now come their wedding photos. This couple is such a pleasure to photograph. They truely were. We had a lot of fun with the HUGE wedding party with both the getting ready photos and portraits. The entire day was spent at Skytop Lodge in Skytop, PA where they had everything from getting ready, outdoor ceremony, photo time, and their reception.

Below is sortof a different type of photo then what I normally show as highlights from the wedding. However, to me this is one of the most powerful images of the day. Some times the best photos come in this little tiny moments that happen so fast that if I weren’t paying attention, would have easily been missed. These are the types of moments that I see happening almost before they happen. It’s a story tellers moment. It’s an image that both Dina & Michael will be able to remember what they were feeling at that very moment during their wedding. I hope you enjoy!

Hello everyone.

Douglas Wedding, Country Club of Scranton

Hello everyone

I am here for a quick note to show you a sneak peak into the Wedding of Smia and Steve at the Counrty Club of Scranton. Again what a great couple to work with. You will see in one of the shots that we were definitely shooting in the greens at the country club. We had to take a little break to let some golfers go by, and of course I had to take the opportunity to snap a few shots during their swing… oops.

Enjoy! More to come soon.

Wedding Photography, Rittenhouse Hotel, Rittenhouse Square Philadelphia

Wow… Wow… I had a great time at tonight’s (I guess by now yesterday’s) wedding at the Rittenhouse Hotel in downtown Philadelphia. What a great couple, Betsy and Jaimo. I can not wait to get started on the editing of their images in a few days. We got outside on this amazing day (weatherman have no clue what they are talking about) and did some really cool pictures right in Rittenhouse square. As my usual style I did some “create it out of nothing” shots that I am really excited. Below is just one of those shots from today. It was shot right in front of the hotel.

COMING SATURDAY & SUNDAY!

Over the next two days I will be making a few posts showing off the photos from the Griffith wedding as well as a sneak peak at the Douglas wedding. Stay tuned!!

Enjoy!

P.S. Don’t forget to book your 09 or 2010 date before they are booked!

Raddison Lackawanna Station Hotel - Scranton PA

Todays venue is the absolutely beautiful Radisson Lackawanna StationHotel in Scranton PA.

What a beautiful hotel located right next to the Steam Town Mall. We shot the wedding of Chris & Kate here back in May of 2008. The band Picture Perfect was also in attendance at the reception, playing all night. I hope you enjoy this set of images. I will be putting up Chris & Kate’s portrait session at Molly Brannigans later on.

Pat & Erin at The Highlands, Dallas, PA

I type to you from the wonderful Bar Louie Restaurant in the Mohegan Sun Casino at the Pocono Downs, Wilkes Barre, PA. I am eating a wonderful plate of macaroni and cheese. YUM!

What an awesome winter wedding we had yesterday. It was such a nice family and couple. It was my first time shooting an actual ceremony inside of the Highlands as we are normally outside in the garden.

The lights at night made for some really awesome portrait time. I hope you enjoy two photos from the event below. Well back to eating for now!

Onward with the new blog!

So everything happens for a reason. I have not been able to get my old posts back but thats ok. We have a new year coming and we are going to start nice and fresh. I will once again be relaunching my attempt for my new years resolution to blog every day!

I was blessed to be able to work at some many cool venues this year. So I have decided over the next week I am going to be posting images from a different Venue every day.

Today’s post is going to feature the awesome Allentown Brew Works. Christie and Joey had their wedding the day before in Allentown, and I decided to invite them to a next day shoot in the streets of Allentown, PA. I walked into the Allentown Brew Works and asked them if I could bring in a couple for a shoot. They were so nice and gave me a tour of the place and said, GO FOR IT!

So we shot in both the Brew Works and then went around the town of Allentown for some more shots. This shoot by accident created one of my favorite photos of the year! You will see it in the slideshow. It is the image of the two of them against a large white wall balanced with a tree on the other side. I almost didn’t take this shot because the shadow that I originally wanted to shoot there had disappeared. I decided to shoot it anyway, and I love it!

By the way, the Allentown Brew Works will be using these images in their upcoming advertisement in Lehigh Valley Style Magazine. Make sure to pick up your copy! I believe it is the January issue.

Enjoy the images! Don’t forget to leave comments!
