A little bit about me.

Finalist: 2008 Photographer of the Year - International Competition

I love my job! What more can I say? I love the feeling of capturing that perfect split second moment of emotion. I love the feeling of creating an image from a vision in my head, and nailing it! I love seeing the reaction of the couples as they see the images for the first time. Its amazing. I am truly blessed to have the privilege of being a photographer.

I actually fell into this profession very much by accident. I was the owner of a music promotion and management company when I was 18 and studying at Penn State. I started to photograph the bands so they would have images for their press kits. I was hooked. I soon was shooting everything that I could get my hands on. Soon after I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to photograph my first wedding. It was the wedding of a high school classmate of mine and a childhood friend. I owe everything to Josh and Jen for giving me the opportunity to photograph their wedding.

The very next year we sold out for the season! Since then the business has grown into something I could have never imagined. It has allowed me to shoot in locations all across the country and soon the world! I have had the privilege to shoot along side of and learn from some of the best photographers in the world. These photographers include: Australian photographers Jerry Ghionis and Yervant, Joe Buissink, David Beckstead, John Michael Cooper (Altf), the Bebbs, and more.

I also have recently been invited to be an instructor at several of the PhotogShootOut workshops in front of over 70 professional photographers, as well as invited to become a member of the Circle of 8.

My work is always expanding. At every wedding or portrait session I try to do things that I have never done before.

When I am not photographing something, I love anything to do with movies and music. As a former performer I am very passionate about music. I love a lot of bands that people probably have never heard of. Movies to me are one of the most magical things on earth. I love seeing just about any movie that I can put my hands on. Some of you have seen my movie theater in my house with the 120" screen. It is definitely my favorite room in the house!

My next passion I will be exploring soon is traveling and seeing the world. I can't wait to get started.

Above all I love to have a great time every time I go out shooting. My fun and friendly style is something that my couples love, mixing photojournalism with fashion.

Thanks again for checking out the website!

News and Updates

Soooooooo. Ok I know it has been a while since I have blogged, but BOY has it been a busy time lately. I wanted to make a quick post to update you on a few things that have been happening as well as a few teasers of things to come.

MYSTIC 5 - Mystic, CT

This past week I had the pleasure of going to Mystic, CT to learn even more from some of the best wedding photographers in the world. It was great to see photographers again like Jerry Ghionis from Australia, AltF from Las Vegas, David Williams from Australia, DQ Studios, and two time Pulitzer Prize Winner Greg Gibson. It’s really exciting to go to an event several states away and have people recognize me from my work. It was also great chillin with the Circle of 8 group for the week and seeing a lot of old faces.

More importantly is the inspiration that I have come away with from attending. I have several new projects in the works and new ideas for how I want to photograph going into the 2010 wedding season. I can’t wait to get started!

Charitable Project

I am working hard with a large name charity (to be announced later, shhhh), to start a very important charitable project. I can’t go into too many details about it at this time, but I can tell you that it is going to be very cool and I believe will have a large impact locally and nationally as we grow the scope of the project. Stay tuned for more information about this project and how you can get involved!

Weekender Model of the Week

Just a note that you can continue to see my work published each week in the Times Leader: Weekender Model of the Week.

New Website!!

The brand new website is almost complete! I hope to be able to launch it some time this coming week. It is a new site built from the ground up with the wedding couples in mind. You will be able to see my past weddings and even be able to see what vendors the couples used for their weddings. Since I have the priveledge of working with some of the best vendors around, it will make a great resource for you while you are planning your wedding.

2010 Dates

2010 dates are flying fast! There are still spots left and I would love to photograph your wedding! So make sure you give me a call or email and get your wedding booked asap.

TEASERS

I have a few new things on the horizon that I can’t yet speak about but are going to be very exciting! Here are a few hints:

- The introduction of Fine Art Prints

- A better solution to 8×10 prints

- An Engagement Session like you have never seen before!

- The Fashion Bridal Session

- Albums explained. Why they are so important and why a photographer is doing you a disservice if they do not take care in producing this priceless heirloom for you.

- And much more!

2010 is going to be a really fun year and I can’t wait to get started. I can’t wait for the warm weather to whip around especially so that we can get back outside creating awesome photos!

I encourage you to make 2010 your best year yet!
